Zinc dust is a gray micronized powder produced by distillation from high-purity zinc metal under specific physical conditions. The shape of zinc dust particles is spherical and its size is between 2 and 9 microns depending on the grade produced. Zinc dust is mainly used to produce paints and coatings that are applied to structures or surfaces susceptible to corrosion in harsh environmental conditions.
